LivFearlessly TODAY: Prayer Community

community prayerTherefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:16 NIV

As I continue to grow in my understanding of God’s word I am often drawn to the sense of community. We read about fellowship with one another or people being sent out to spread the Gospel in pairs. Jesus even walked traveled with his disciples. There is a constant emphasis on not doing things alone. The Lord himself said that he will never leave you nor forsake you. We are not alone.

The above scripture tells us to confess our sins to each other and pray for each other. Today I was feeling convicted about something that I had done and confessed my sins to a sister in Christ. She prayed for me, my sister went in front of the Lord on my behalf and prayed for me. If that does not seem powerful to you I do not know what is. Knowing that God has placed someone in your life that you can be open and honest with is a true blessing. And to have that person go before the Lord for you is amazing. Utilize those that God has given you and allow them to pray for you. And if the Lord allows you to be that person, do not hesitate to listen and pray for your brother or sister.

This Christian walk is not one you take alone, God is always there with us and provides a community for us. Take the opportunity to confess and have someone pray for you or see how you can pray for someone else.

Have a blessed day loves,

I love you all but God loves you so much more.
